ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt Right of Way Project Manager to work on projects based out of New Jersey. The selected candidate must reside in New Jersey and can expect to travel throughout the state about 25% of the time based on project requirements.

What you will be doing:
As our Right of Way Project Manager, you'll be in the driver's seat of some of the most complex and exciting public projects around. You'll work alongside our amazing clients to make sure their projects are executed seamlessly, from start to finish. From ensuring the right scope of work is in place to overseeing the project budget and financial requirements, you'll have your hands in every part of the project lifecycle. You'll also be building relationships with key vendors and agencies, pursuing new business development opportunities, and supporting our recruiting efforts. As the day-to-day manager of the project, you'll be responsible for keeping us on track, from timely project reporting to sending invoices to our clients. Additionally, you'll be managing our team of direct reports, ensuring everyone is performing at their best and that the project stays on schedule.
A significant part of this role involves business development activities. The project manager will be instrumental in growing our market share by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Building a strong, effective field team is essential, and the project manager will be expected to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for implementing strategies for the Public Sector, set forth by the Executive Vice President (EVP), in compliance with overall company strategy to facilitate and foster client relationships. They coordinate with the EVP regarding opportunities in the Public Sector in the region.

Physical Requirements: English language proficiency is required. The employee must communicate and exchange information clearly in person, via phone, and email. The role involves substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. The employee must be able to read, understand, and interpret department-related documents and data, make quick decisions, present to staff and clients, have difficult conversations, and supervise staff. This role requires the employee to travel regularly to meet with clients or vendors, which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, the employee may need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes and may be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
