SummaryApplications will be accepted until a sufficient number of applications are received or until August 5th at 5pm,with an initial review on July 25, 2025.About our opportunity:The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Right at Home Project Manager in the Community and Economic Department's Homeless Strategy Division. This is atime-limited, grant-fundedposition that will manage all aspects of a multi-million-dollar, multi-year pilot program focused on homelessness prevention. The program is funded through the national homelessness prevention initiative Right at Home, and includes a 12-month planning phase followed by a 3-year implementation period.Clickherefor more information about theRight at Home National Homelessness Prevention Partnership.What you'll be doing:This role involves leading and supporting a critical initiative for the City of Asheville.Essential functions include:* Leading project planning and development for the Asheville-Buncombe implementation of Right at Home, including designing a homelessness prevention system.* Serving as lead staff to a CoC-appointed work group, and conducting research on effective practices to inform the work group.* Engaging and building effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as service providers and people with lived experience of homelessness, and exploring a regional approach across Madison, Henderson, and Transylvania Counties.* Managing all processes related to contract development and execution, both for receiving Right at Home funds and for executing agreements with participating service providers.* Overseeing the overall initiative budget and individual agreement budgets.* Supporting research design, data collection, and evaluation alongside the Data and Compliance Specialist.* Establishing and managing processes to oversee and support implementation of the developed plan approved by the CoC Board.* Regularly engaging members of the CoC and community to inform them about Right at Home, educate them on homelessness prevention, and solicit input.* Developing and delivering presentations about Right at Home to public audiences and bodies such as the CoC Board, Asheville City Council, and others.* Conducting all work with a steadfast, solutions-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered focus on ending homelessness.* Performing other related work as required.Benefits:* Benefitted* Salary: $ 62,540.93 - $68,795.023* 13 paid holidays, plus you will earn paid sick and vacation hours* Full access to the City of Asheville's benefit suite including Medical, Dental, and Life insurance options* Enrollment in the North Carolina State Pension Plan and NC State 401K with company matching funds.This is a time-limited, grant-funded position with an expected duration of up to four (4) years.About you:We know your time is valuable. Applicants who meet the following minimum requirements or have comparable experience and/or education will be considered:* Bachelor's degree with major work in human services, social sciences, project management, community development, or a related field.* At least three years of relevant experience in homeless or housing services, such as nonprofit work, social work, or project planning.* Knowledge of homelessness and homelessness response systems is preferred.* Ability to understand projects and their goals, and to create and execute effective step-by-step plans for project implementation.* Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to meaningfully, understandably, and compellingly deliver information.* Ability to interpret and apply technical regulations.* Have a valid driver's license.Persons of all genders and races are encouraged to apply.Other things to know:* Work Schedule: Generally Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., however this position requires some attendance at evening meetings of the Asheville-Buncombe Continuum of Care and related meetings.
