Position Description: Haul Truck Operator - Portable Aggregate Crushing PlantJob Title: Haul Truck OperatorLocation: Franklin, KY and TravellingJob Type: Full-TimeReports To: Plant ForemanJob Summary: The Haul Truck Operator is responsible for operating haul trucks to transport aggregate materials from the mine face to a portable crushing plant. This role also includes performing vehicle and plant maintenance, lubrication, and clean-up tasks. The ideal candidate must be physically fit and capable of working in a demanding environment.Key Responsibilities:* Operate Haul Trucks: Safely and efficiently operate haul trucks to transport aggregate materials within the crushing plant.* Material Handling: Load and unload materials, ensuring proper placement and distribution.* Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on haul trucks, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and other essential components.* Plant Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of the crushing plant, including inspecting and repairing equipment as needed.* Lubrication: Apply lubricants to machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent wear and tear.* Clean-Up: Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including removing debris and ensuring equipment is free from obstructions.* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Qualifications:* Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.* Experience: Previous experience operating haul trucks and working in aggregate crushing plants is preferred.* Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of vehicle and plant maintenance procedures.* Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.* Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to communicate with team members and report issues.* Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.Working Conditions:* Environment: Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.* Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, lifting, and operating heavy machinery for extended periods.
