RFI Purchasing Clerk - 2025 - Hormel : Job Details

This is a 2nd shift position with a Monday through Friday schedule, working from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Hours may vary.

Career Level: Hourly 4

• Starting Pay: $15.25 - $21.50

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures that supplies are properly and accurately received into the Dry Storage warehouse and issued out to the manufacturing departments in Oracle, AS400, and d7i systems according to policy.
• Organizes, dispenses, and records employee supply issues and locker room assignments.
• Unloads and organizes label inventories.
• Conducts accurate and timely cycle counts of supplies.
• Provides the Quality Control department with packaging samples and Certificates of Analysis as required per the HACCP and SQF policies.
• Provide vacation or other relief within workgroup when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn other computer applications (oracle, D7i, MfgPro, data collection).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to initiate appropriate actions independently.
• Demonstrated problem solving and organizational ability
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Preferred

• Experience with personal computers, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Excel.

New Employees:

New Employees at our facility are immediately placed on a 3-month probationary period. During this time, employee attendance and performance are closely monitored.
