Position Duties:
Perform RF design activities related to building the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US.Optimize end-to-end RF design, propagation modeling, and prediction for Macro Cell deployment.Determine equipment and power configurations; collaborate with eNB/RAN and UE teams on RF solutions, including modifications to RF link budgets to meet operational requirements.Perform site candidate evaluation and selection, including site walks.Work with RF Management to establish design criteria, link budget, and traffic analysis for network design and ongoing performance improvements.Set up, calibrate, and process data using LTE design and optimization equipment and software.Drive test data post-processing, map generation, frequency planning, interference analysis, and site database maintenance.Assist in creating technical process and procedure manuals related to Test Engineering practices.Create engineering services supporting 5G and IoT, including network planning, equipment commissioning, installation, testing, and operationalization.Evaluate technological trends and industry migrations to enable GTA to provide cutting-edge services for IoT and CBRS strategy development.Test and maintain in-house hardware and software.Develop training materials for Test Engineering.Integrate new technologies and tools to enhance service offerings.Assist in developing RFPs and RFIs by providing technical expertise.Travel frequently to various locations across the U.S.; some work from home is available.Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a U.S. institution or equivalent, with at least one year of experience as an RF engineering professional.
Special Skill Requirements:
At least one year of experience with Planet, RF Propagation, Python, SQL, Tableau, TCO, IP Networking, and REST API.
