Join us in fueling our mission to protect dreams and restore lives, while building your career in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and personal growth.Be part of a team that makes a real difference.Job DescriptionThis is a part-time (up to 20 hours a week) work-from-home position Overall Purpose: A Return-to-Work Specialist to facilitate the safe and timely return of disabled employees to their job with their employer. This role involves interaction with employers and workers throughout the return-to-work process promoting overall employee wellbeing.Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include providing vocational assistance such as return-to-work follow-up, providing information about employer, regional and national benefits and general administrative activities to determine employee eligibility and set up cases.Case management is also a significant part of the role, using an interactive process to collaborate with employers and employees, and using motivational interviewing techniques with workers. Responsible for initial contact and case set up and subsequent contact through one month after return to work. Tailer support activities for each worker based on their limitations and restrictions and essential job functions, recovery and return to work date. Determine eligibility for internal programs (Pregnancy, ADA, STD).Providing vocational assistance such as return-to-work follow-up, and/or providing connection to support resources such as Social Determinates of Health (SDOH) resources, EAP, local and federal programs.Reporting and communication duties include documenting activities, providing information about workers in reports, keeping workers informed, and communicating with employers about restrictions. Auditing of case records for accuracy and timeliness.QualificationsRequirments:
  • Two years experience providing return to work support for employees including return-to-work plan development or case management, implementation of plan and follow up.
  • Two years experience in customer service or account management, ideally working directly with employers.
  • Return to work certification or the ability to obtain certification within two years of start of role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
