Retail Stock and Cash Operations Associate - ALDI : Job Details

Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00; Year 3 - $19.50; Year 4 - $19.50; Year 5 - $20.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

All tasks must be performed with or without reasonable accommodations. Key responsibilities include:

• Communicating effectively with team members and management.
• Maintaining confidentiality and security of documents within your area.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Efficiently processing customer purchases and performing cleaning duties.
• Providing outstanding customer service and assisting with shopping needs.
• Offering feedback to management on product issues, inventory discrepancies, and more.
• Participating in regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Upholding cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stocking shelves and properly rotating products to ensure freshness.
• Creating well-organized merchandise displays according to planograms.
• Organizing new inventory and managing packaging waste.
• Operating machinery safely, adhering to all safety regulations.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
• Stockers should be able to stock merchandise and lift products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to clean to company standards.
• Ability to understand and apply company policies effectively.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills.
• Familiarity with ALDI's products and services is a plus.

Additional Qualifications:

• Cashiers should possess experience operating cash registers efficiently.
• Understanding of state and local regulations for handling alcoholic beverages is necessary.
• Stockers must be available for morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
• Ability to operate equipment safely, including electric/manual hand jacks and scrubbers.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment is an asset.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
