In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications, providing expert advice on the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to promoting health and wellness within the community. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify proper dosage and instructions.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Provide professional guidance and advice to customers regarding medications, side effects, interactions, and general health matters.
- Maintain accurate records of medications and ensure controlled substances are handled in accordance with regulations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy including inventory management, ordering, and receiving of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Offer vaccination and immunization services as permitted by local law.
- Stay updated on new medications, treatments, and pharmacy regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in Oklahoma.
- Proven experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Immunization certification.
- CPR certification.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
