Our Dining Room and Tavern are committed to providing exceptional service and delicious, locally-sourced food, and we want to work with passionate team members who share that vision.*Example of Duties by Role*Bartender:* Open and set up the bar for service, ensuring cleanliness, stock levels, andreadiness.* Prepare classic and signature cocktails with consistency and attention to detail.* Provide attentive service to Tavern guests and overnight guests ordering drinks.* Maintain thorough knowledge of drink menu, wine list, spirits, and beer selections.* Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines, including ID verification.* Restock and clean the bar area throughout and after service to meet health and safety standards.* Manage tabs and process transactions accurately in the point of sale system.* Handle glassware and bar tools with care and professionalism.Server* Actively participate in training sessions with a commitment to always improving.* Actively participate in daily stand-ups and tastings with kitchen staff. Seek to understand all dishes, ingredients, and purveyors. Possess an understanding of common allergens.* Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, knowledgeable table service. Check in on guests throughout their visit.* Act as a storyteller, helping guests understand the connection between the Inn's food and beverage offerings and our location. Present menus, describe dishes, and answer questions about food and beverages with clarity and heart.* Be attentive to guests' dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring all feel welcome.* Accurately take orders and input them into a point of sale system.* Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and serve items promptly. Collaborate with other servers and servers' assistants, running food and drinks and bussing tables in a pinch.* Adhere to legal, safety, and health standards, including IDing guests who order alcoholic beverages. Ensure a clean, orderly environment* Set up for services and clean spaces after services, as assigned. Take initiative and ensure checklists are completed and spaces are in excellent condition even if it means taking on tasks outside of your specific assignments.Cook* Prepare and execute menu items to the highest standards of quality andconsistency* Train with, and work closely with, the chef or sous chef to understand standards and expectations* Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications* Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned station and kitchen areas* Assist with prep work, inventory, and receiving deliveries* Communicate clearly and respectfully with all team members and leadership* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and kitchen procedures* Participate in daily cleaning and maintenance tasks* Support a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen cultureHost* Manage reservations using the Tock platform. Assign tables, keep track of special requests, and ensure guests confirm reservations in advance.* Create equilibrium in seatings. Assign servers to sections. Monitor sections and pacing so that servers have the same number of diners in a service, and no section is overwhelmed.* Manage walk-in diners in the Tavern. Direct guests to a preferred table so as to ensure servers have an equal number of guests throughout the night.* Create wait lists for walk-in guests and actively manage them. Eloquently explain rationale behind the wait list.
