Base pay range

$17.00/yr - $1,780.00/yr

Role Summary: Respite Support Professional will ensure high-quality service delivery that promoteperson centered, meaningful leisure skills and advocacy for people served in People's Arc RespiteServices. While most respite services are given at a People's Arc location in the early evenings andweekends, some respite services are provided in the people's home, including overnight hours.Role Responsibilities:Works collaboratively with people receiving services, their families to develop and implementprograms that promote person centered, meaningful leisure skills, independence skill building andwell-being for people served by People's Arc to enhance their quality of life.Advocates for the needs of people receiving services within People's Arc, outside human servicesproviders and the broader community.Collaborates with community organizations, service providers, and stakeholders to enhance thenetwork of support available to people on their caseload and their families.Provides transportation for the person served to leisure activities, medical appointments andother transportation as needed.Maintains all trainings and certifications.Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, organizational policies, and best practicesin service delivery.SALARY 17.80 HOURRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDHigher educational degree preferred.1+ year's experience in community habilitation, respite services or related fields, with a strongunderstanding of the needs of people with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesKnowledge of advocacy and recreational resources and systemsValid NYSDLBenefits
