Job Title: Respiratory Therapist [TRAVEL] Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Location: Syracuse, NY Block Scheduling: Not available Dual Assignments: Not permitted Preferred Candidates: Pediatric experience Position Overview: A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position. This role involves delivering essential respiratory care to patients in an acute care setting and requires the ability to perform independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications:

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical acute care experience post-degree (required)
• Must pass pre-employment health screening
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required

Responsibilities:

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy
• Monitor and manage oxygen therapy
• Assist physicians in the application and maintenance of continuous mechanical ventilation
• Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as needed
• Perform pulmonary function tests and radial arterial punctures
• Deliver high-quality patient care in an acute care environment with minimal supervision
• Operate with a high degree of clinical independence

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in the respiratory therapy field (required)
• Proficient in a wide range of acute care patient functions
• Familiarity with pediatric respiratory care (preferred)
