MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains the flow of daily tasks within Romo Medical Equipment LLC.
Participates and cooperates in the agency based quality improvement process.
Set up and operate devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, and environmental control system following specified parameters of treatment.
Responsible for case management and quality of care provided by professional staff.
Actively participates in conferences planned for staff professional growth and development.
Determine requirements for treatment, such as type, method and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken compatible with physicians' orders.
Markets throughout the community, i.e.: health fairs, visiting physicians' offices, workshops and seminars.
Ensures the maintenance of agency records to satisfy the requirements of state laws, always maintaining the highest standards.
Read prescription, measure arterial blood gases, and review patient information to assess patient condition.
Practices, develops and endorses customer services skills in relationship with customers.
Practices and demonstrates an open door policy for all employees.
Must possess a valid state issued Drivers License and be insurable.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Must communicate to President any day to day decisions made for the organization.
Ability to perform other work-related duties as assigned and required.
Enforce safety rules and ensure careful adherence to physicians' orders
Maintain charts that contain patients' pertinent identification and therapy information.
Inspect, clean, test and maintain respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, ordering repairs when necessary.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and teach appropriate disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises and the use of medications and respiratory equipment.
Explain treatment procedures to patients to gain cooperation and allay fears.
Perform pulmonary function and adjust equipment to obtain optimum results in therapy.
Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.
Make emergency visits to resolve equipment problems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and stretching to set up and take apart respiratory equipment and apparatus; lifting and repositioning patients; and pushing or pulling heavy objects such as oxygen tanks and/or ventilator equipment. The work may require specific physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average dexterity to perform intricate respiratory therapy procedures.
WORK HOUR REQUIREMENTS
Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Full Time- 40 hours
Part Time- 20 + hours
Occasional overtime
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
RRT BACHELORS DEGREEE
