Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift (Travel/Contract) Location: Syracuse, NY Job Type: Travel/Contract Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Compensation: Local Rate: $1,662.90/Week Travel Rate: $2,311.00/Week Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift contract assignment in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. This role requires independent clinical judgment and a commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory care. Pediatric experience is a plus, and candidates from out of state are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer aerosol and positive pressure therapy
• Set up and monitor oxygen therapy
• Assist with initiation and management of continuous mechanical ventilation
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling via radial puncture
• Respond to emergency codes and assist in CPR/resuscitation efforts
• Conduct pulmonary function tests
• Deliver patient care with minimal supervision in an acute care setting

Qualifications:

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
• Valid New York State license and registration as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience post-graduation (required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment health screenings and clearances
• Pediatric experience preferred
