Respiratory Therapist - integrated resources : Job Details

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Location: Jackson, MI Duration: 3 Months+Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 every other weekend, 3 x 12sJob Summary:

• Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients.
• Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
• Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs.
• Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned.
• Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Required Education:

• Associate of Science Degree, from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
• BLS

Required Skills & Experience:

• Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.

REQUIRED: minimum 2 years' experience, current licensure and certification, BLS certification Hours Per Week: 36.00 Hours Per Day: 12.00 Days Per Week: 3.00
