Job-8429 Respiratory Therapist Price, UT Seeking a Respiratory Therapist to work under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include: Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per care plan. Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices. Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment. Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources. Monitors, receives stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment. Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines. Qualifications: License: Respiratory Therapist Certification, Respiratory Care Technician or Respiratory Care Practitioner Utah State License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 1 year of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP).
