\n\nWhat You'll Do
\nAs a Respiratory Therapist at UPMC Cole, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Your responsibilities will include:
\n· Evaluating medical orders and interpreting clinical data to guide treatment
\n· Operating and adjusting ventilators, oxygen therapy systems, and aerosol delivery devices
\n· Monitoring patient responses and performing diagnostic tests
\n· Assisting with emergency situations and transporting ventilated patients
\n· Educating patients and mentoring students or new staff
\n· Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring equipment safety

· You must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (approved by CoARC).
\n· OR if you're a student with a temporary license, you can start working with HR approval and official transcripts.
\n· You need to have Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification that includes both classroom and hands-on training.
\n· You must earn your Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) before your temporary permit expires.
\n· If you received your CRTT after July 1, 2002, you'll need to keep your certification up to date according to NBRC requirements.
\n*RRTs and CRTs will be considered. Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based his/her individual experience, education, and certifications.
\nLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
