Respiratory Care Practitioner - Huggins Hospital : Job Details

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Cardiac Rehab and Cardiopulmonary Services and within departmental policies and procedures, is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the Cardiopulmonary Department. Full-time Days, 12 hour shifts Respiratory Therapy: - Achieves and maintains clinical competency and state licensure in Respiratory Therapy - Administers all developmentally appropriate respiratory care and diagnostic procedures to support patients of all ages in all hospital care areas as assigned by the Department Manager or Medical Director - Administers drugs in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures; and CPR as necessary for all age groups. - Collects and interprets arterial blood gases - Administers oxygen, aerosol, humidity, IPPB, CPAP, Bi. PAP therapies, and is proficient in airway management, mechanical and non-invasive ventilation and monitoring.
