About the Role
Join the Stapleton Group as a Residential Property Manager and be a key player in managing our client's portfolio of rent-controlled apartment buildings. This dynamic position involves regular property visits, proactive tenant communications, vendor coordination, and essential administrative support, ensuring smooth operations across our residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Operations: Collaborate with the senior manager to oversee daily operations of multiple residential buildings, including maintenance scheduling and addressing tenant requests.
- Tenant Communication: Promptly respond to tenant inquiries, complaints, and service requests, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Rent Processing: Track rent payments, issue notices for delinquencies, and ensure accurate maintenance of rent rolls.
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and follow up on work orders, liaise with vendors, and perform basic property inspections to uphold quality standards.
- Compliance Support: Assist in maintaining compliance with San Francisco Rent Ordinance, including proper documentation, rent registration, and legal notices.
- Leasing Support: Organize unit showings, screen applicants, and prepare lease documents in accordance with city requirements.
- Reporting: Help compile reports on rent collection, outstanding maintenance tickets, and occupancy metrics.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular property walkthroughs to assess safety and habitability concerns, reporting findings to the senior manager for prompt resolution.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years in property management.
- Education: BA/BS is required.
- A strong desire to learn about San Francisco housing regulations, including rent control and just cause eviction laws.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with property management software (AppFolio, Yardi, MS Office, or similar).
- Able to multitask and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000, based on experience.
- Performance Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus based on portfolio performance and KPIs.
