Overview:

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a globally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our countrys most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC is seeking a Project Associate to support the management of our California Residential New Construction electrification portfolio. The primary focus for this role will be to work with potential program participants to review project applications. The Project Associate will execute efforts via phone or email communication with residential builders and developers, energy consultants, and project teams to promote and confirm program eligibility, layer incentives, and update applicants about their incentive status as needed. The Project Associate will be responsible for communicating updates to relevant stakeholders at each phase, remove barriers as needed, and support each project from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report program key performance metrics and provide updates to management and the client.
  • Facilitate lessons learned and process improvement meeting within the operations vertical to promote best practices and work through challenges as a team. Independently manage workload and prioritize critical tasks.
  • Resolve any barriers that arises for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle.
  • Be accountable for the projects that are assigned and notify management team if there are any delays or discrepancies to the process.
  • Proficiency of Customer Relationship Management system and provide input for enhancements or troubleshooting.
  • Work with portfolio team to actively manage multiple projects through the entire lifecycle in various stages.
  • Support end-user customers in understanding, completing, and submitting required project paperwork and including relevant supporting documentation.
  • Review and verify incoming project submittals on a regular basis to determine eligibility and request missing information as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, utilizing excellent communication skills and positive attitude to work with detailed requests from customers, client staff, and internal team members.
  • Support outreach, technical, and other cross functional teams as needed through reporting, research, information follow-up, end-user customer training, etc.
  • Ensure incentives are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements
  • Residency in California
  • Bachelors degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (i.e. outlook, word, excel, teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience using a CRM or similar system to effectively track customer and/or project details.
  • Ability to travel within the state of California.

  • Experience with processing complex projects.
  • Self?driven and a team player with established critical thinking, analytical, and problem?solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills that include highly effective communication in?person, over email, and over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team and customers.
  • Attention-to-detail to ensure project submittals meet the clients criteria for eligibility and completeness.
  • Experience working with a CRM system to manage data and create reports.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with low to no margin of error.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to monitor and manage project progress.
  • Ability to coordinate, schedule and conduct team meetings professionally.
  • Ability read and monitor performance metrics to support program goals.
  • Experience promoting process documentation, optimization, and automation.
  • Knowledge of Energy related technology.
  • Experience submitting or processing utility incentive or rebate programs.

This position will be located in one of TRCs California offices: Rancho Cordova (Sacramento area), Oakland, San Francisco, Encinitas, San Diego, Irvine (Los Angeles area). Hybrid working is currently in effect. The majority of time may be remote, but staff are encouraged to meet in local offices when appropriate and to foster team collaboration.

Salary and Benefits

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $65,000-$75,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
