A nonprofit organization in NYC is currently seeking a new Residential Manager to join their growing team in Brooklyn. The Residential Program Manager will be responsible for managerial and administrative tasks to ensure that the ICF operates according to current regulations and that all clients receive risk-appropriate care.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
- Hours: FLEX (alternating schedule) 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, or 12pm-8pm
- Patient Population: Developmentally Disabled Adults
Responsibilities:
- Perform managerial and administrative tasks to ensure the ICF operates according to current regulations and that all clients receive risk-appropriate care.
- Coordinate shift activities and prioritize tasks to ensure consumer safety.
- Supervise the functions and activities of Direct Care Counselors.
- Assist in planning community inclusion activities.
- Ensure meals are planned for the upcoming shift, with ingredients prepared.
- Function independently during facility coverage, including responding appropriately to crises and medical emergencies per agency procedures.
- Prepare documentation and reports as required by the agency.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (consideration given to extensive field experience without a degree).
- Required certifications: AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid.
- Computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field.
