Job Description :

NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking a Residential Manager for one of our two Intensive Residential Treatment Programs located in Westborough, MA.

The IRTP's are short-term locked facilities serving male and female youth who are referred through the Department of Mental Health (DMH). NFI's IRTPs are state-wide residential programs for adolescents who have a serious mental illness and/or severe emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.

The Residential Manager will be responsible for daily oversight of the program, including administrative functions, staff development, supervising the daily activities of clients, and providing ongoing programmatic support.

Compensation: $60,000 annually

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the planning and implementation of the daily activities schedule.
  • Assists in developing, executing and reporting on client treatment plans.
  • Leads staff meetings and/or clinical meetings.
  • Provides individual supervision to assigned staff on a weekly or biweekly basis.
  • Facilitates and participates in program groups and/or team meetings when appropriate.
  • Provides 24-hour on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Provides ongoing support, guidance and role modeling to clients and staff.
  • Screens applicants for open positions and assists with interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
  • Ensures the fiscal integrity of client and program funds.
  • Participates in and/or provides staff training as required.
  • Ensures that program staffing is adequate and manages schedules accordingly.
  • Ensures accurate and timely internal and external reporting for all programmatic needs/requirements.
  • Oversees facility and vehicle maintenance and upkeep as assigned.
  • Oversees food services component as assigned.
  • Provides transportation to the clients, to and from the program, when necessary.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform oral and/or physical interventions in the event of a client crisis, per program/contract requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology or other related field of study and four years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, conflict resolution and team building skills.
  • Experience working with a similar populationand /or a similar program preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle is a must.
