IceCap provides Short Term, Fix and Flip, Bridge, and 30 Year Term Loans for the purchase, renovation, and construction of residential 1-4 Family, Multifamily, Mixed-Use and other CRE properties.Position Summary:The Credit Manager will serve as the team leader for Residential Valuations and also be a key person in Title and property reviews.We are looking for an individual who is interested in applying their analytical skillset to a dynamic and fast-paced real estate firm.Successful candidates must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, pay attention to details, and to complete tasks under time pressure.·Residential Valuations:oOversee the internal valuation team for all 1-4 residential valuations on a national basisoPrimary responsibility for the workflow management both externally and internallyoProvide direction and guidance to valuation team, origination staff and underwriters to ensure the timeliness of all valuations and compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, etc.oKey liaison with appraisers, AMCs and other third partiesoContinuously seek out efficiencies and improvements leveraging technology to deliver quicker and more accurate valuations.·Title and Property Reviews:oReview title insurance products such as commitments, pro-formas, policies and endorsements with support of in-house legal team or agency counsel when necessaryoExamine chain of title for a wide range of title orders which will include both residential and commercial properties (primarily Multifamily).oWork closely with local and/or agency counsel on complex underwriting mattersoRecognize title defects/risks and work with title providers to address those defects/risksoSearch public records including county/local searches, tax departments and other databases beyond title reports to ensure property risk is properly understood as part of the underwriting processLocation: Remote or in-person at Manhattan officeQualifications:·Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.·Minimum of 5 years experience in reviewing residential appraisals and demonstrated knowledge in the valuation of all residential properties.·Minimum of 3 years experience of related title review and transaction experiences·Prior experience as an appraiser or title examiner is preferred but not required·High level proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and familiarity with third party valuation tools.·Strong problem-solving ability and independent thinker·Ability to maintain work priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and projects·Attention to detail and accuracy while displaying a high degree of motivation.·Excellent communication and organizational skills·Legal to work in the USIf you are a highly skilled residential credit professional with a passion for valuation and genuine property underwriting, we encourage you to apply to join our team and contribute to shaping our company's success.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Job function Finance and SalesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at IceCap Group by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Credit Manager” roles.
