Position Overview

The Residential Rehabilitation Educator position offers a great opportunity to work in the Human Services field. In this program, adults with mental illness share a home in the community. Our residential staff support them to reach their goals by teaching daily living skills, assisting with psychiatric symptom management, ensuring physical health, and improving quality of life.

Responsibilities Include
  • Teaching daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and social skills
  • Implementing treatment plans to reach goals or manage symptoms
  • Administering medications
  • Transporting clients to appointments and social activities
  • Using electronic health record systems for client notes
Compensation and Benefits

Required Skills
  • Patience and ability to interact with individuals with disabilities
  • Dependability, flexibility, and a desire to help others

  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record; personal vehicle access required at some sites
Required Experience
  • Experience in human services or coursework in Psychology, Social Work, or related fields
  • CPR/FA and MAP certification required
  • BA/BS preferred in Psychology or related fields
