The Residential Appraiser is responsible fordetermining the market value of residential properties. The candidate will be expected to inspect oneto four family residential properties and complete USPAP compliant residentialappraisals at any transaction amount for the Bank. They should be a market expert in theirgeographical area of coverage and skilled at utilizing industry recognizedappraisal tools and techniques on a daily basis.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Skilled at analyzing market data and valuing all types of one tofour family properties at any transaction amount utilizing variousvaluation techniques and methodologies for both field and desk appraisalassignments
  • Responsible for meeting production goals with the highest levelof customer service and report quality
  • Ensure Appraisals meet Bank requirements, USPAP and Interagencyand GSE Guidelines and Regulatory Standards
  • Although the position is expected to work independently withlimited supervision, as a bank employee the residential appraiser will workclosely with other appraisers, dept analysts and management team tosupport broader real estate projects and initiatives
  • May be asked to supervise others or complete appraisal reviews ofother appraisers' work
  • Additional duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current CaliforniaCertified Residential or Certified General Appraisal License
  • Minimum 5 years of residentialappraisal experience
  • Thorough knowledge ofreal estate appraisal principles and practice, real estate appraisal regulations,Interagency and GSE guidelines, and USPAP
  • Working knowledge ofbanking requirements and regulations.
  • Experience working for a financial institution is preferred
  • Must possess excellentorganizational, communication, writing and customer service skills and aprofessional attitude in all environments
  • Proven strong analyticaland decision-making skills
  • Ability to workindependently with limited supervision
  • Must have reliabletransportation for conducting fieldwork
  • Bachelor's degree orequivalent related experience
  • Basic computer skillswith industry recognized software including Multiple Listing Service, appraisaltracking systems and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Word,Excel)
  • MUST reside in AlamedaCounty, California.
