RESIDENT TECHNICIAN/INSPECTOR (ENGINEERING TECH III) - State of Illinois : Job Details

This position is responsible for the layout, inspection, and documentation of minor to intermediate sized construction projects or assisting the Resident Engineer on major construction projects. Essential Functions Administers and directs the operations of an assigned construction project within a specific geographical area. Coordinates pertinent and timely information about assigned construction projects with the Resident Technician or next level supervisor as appropriate. Ensures that documentation and records are complete to facilitate timely acceptance of the project. Ensures that proper traffic control measures are being used. Provides proper and effective utilization of manpower through training and motivation of employees. Resolves differing viewpoints arising from construction activities, contract provisions, or public complaints. Ensures Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and labor compliance activities.
