Resident Care Aide - Dignity Health : Job Details

Under the direction of the Resident Services Manager, the Resident Care Aide performs resident care duties in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Mercy McMahon Terrace as well as its established policies and procedures. Principle Duties and Accountabilities:Receives report from previous shift and organizes shift assignments. Admits transfers and discharges residents. Assists residents with:Toileting and dressing activities (skin care bathroom help weights etc.)Bedmaking and tidying of unit. Eating unit trays nourishments. Makes regular rounds for appropriate patients. Takes temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure vitals. Monitors residents remaining in units for temporary illnesses such as a cold, flu, etc. Sees that these residents have trays delivered to them for each meal. Observes, reports, documents any changes noted with resident to Resident Services Manager and /or Director or LVN on duty. Answers emergency call signals.
