*Foothill-De Anza Student Housing*7918 McClellan RdCupertino, CA 95014The Foothill and De Anza team is seeking engaged and responsible student leaders to serve as Resident Assistants (RAs) for the on-campus student housing community in in the *Santa* *Clara* *County* . The property is located less than a half a mile away from the De Anza College campus in Cupertino, CA. The residential community includes 94 apartments designed to house a minimum of 332 residents. Most apartments are two-bedroom, two-bathroom units with bedroom furniture, common room furniture, full kitchens, and living rooms. RAs are vital members of the residence life team and serve as peer mentors, community builders, and first responders in supporting a positive residential experience. This live-on position is a unique opportunity for students enrolled at Foothill or De Anza College to gain leadership experience, serve their peers, and contribute to an inclusive and supportive housing environment.*Community Engagement and Support:** Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents.* Build community through planned social, academic, and wellness-related programming.* Provide peer mentorship and support to residents navigating personal and academic challenges.* Serve as a knowledgeable referral source to campus and local resources.*Policy Enforcement and Duty Coverage:** Uphold and educate residents on student housing policies and community standards.* Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with training and protocols.* Serve in an on-call duty rotation during evenings, weekends, and holidays.* Submit incident reports and duty logs accurately and in a timely manner.*Facility Oversight and Reporting:** Report maintenance issues and safety concerns in student apartments and common areas.* Assist with regular inspections and walkthroughs of assigned spaces.* Ensure common areas remain safe, clean, and functional.*Administrative Responsibilities:** Attend required RA trainings, staff meetings, and in-service workshops.* Support move-in and move-out processes, including check-ins and check-outs.* Assist in roommate mediation and general residential problem-solving.* Document interactions and submit reports as needed to the Residence Life Coordinator.*Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with other RAs and the Residence Life Coordinator.* Represent the housing department with professionalism and integrity.* Participate in campus initiatives and outreach to promote student success and wellbeing.*Qualifications:** Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Foothill College or De Anza College.* Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.* Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.* Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.* Ability to manage time effectively and work independently while balancing academic responsibilities.* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.*Compensation:*This is a live-on student position with approximately 20 hours of work per week during the year.
