Reserve Phlebotomist - Miners - Saint Luke's Health Systems : Job Details

Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood, and non-blood, specimens using appropriate blood collection equipment according to the Laboratory Specimen Collection Manual and Phlebotomy Procedure Manual. Additionally, phlebotomists are expected to complete patient registrations as well as perform EKG testing (where applicable). Key Accountabilities & Essential Functions:Interprets verbal and written physician orders, obtains blood specimens from patients (all ages) using appropriate blood collection equipment (needles, lancets, etc.), handles and processes lab specimens, and follows safe practices according to the SLUHN policies/manuals.
