DescriptionOverall Responsibilities of the Reservationist:
- The Reservationist will provide service to guests in person or over the phone in a professional and gracious manner and will focus on creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
- Meets or exceeds Member service expectations.
- Works well with other team members.
- Adheres to Hart Ranch Camping Resort Employee Handbook and Employee Safety Manual.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The Reservationist will:
- Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
- Promptly complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and rate.
- Make appropriate selection of sites and cabins based on guest needs. Provide keys when applicable. Confirm the site number and/or cabin number and rate. Provide welcome folders containing pertinent information.
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change and balance accounts. Accept and record vouchers, traveler's checks and other forms of payment. Perform accurate moderately complex arithmetic functions using a calculator. Post charges using the computer.
- Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear voice. Input messages into the computer. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest.
- Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy Resort activity. Resolve customer complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising approach to accommodate unusual situation.
- Maintain excellent communication with all Departments; specifically, Security, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Storage Departments for site moves, repair and maintenance issues, cabin housekeeping, site and cabin checkout, and winter/dewinterization.

Must be a motivated self-starter. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
