RESEARCHER ASSISTANT - University of Alabama at Birmingham. The Department of Neurology's Goldberg lab seeks to hire a Researcher Assistant. This position will assist in the management (ear punch, breedings, weanings) and PCR genotyping of colony of mice and rats, assist in basic laboratory duties such as making solutions, western blots, and running assays as part of biochemical analysis of mouse and rat models of Parkinson's disease, and maintain spreadsheets of inventories of harvested tissues, inventories of live animals and spreadsheet of freezer location of samples. As a Researcher Assistant, you will contribute to the daily operations of research projects under the close supervision of experienced researchers. This role involves performing standard research tasks, including sample processing, basic data analysis, and maintaining accurate records.
