Research Technician - Marshall University : Job Details

Perform research activities and other tasks as necessary in a biomedical research laboratory environment. Job Description: - Conduct laboratory research procedures under the supervision of the Principal Investigator - Maintain mammalian cell cultures according to laboratory and safety protocols - Work with experimental animal models, including handling, maintenance, treatments, tissue harvesting, and generating experimental data - Perform molecular biology techniques such as Western Blotting and Real Time-Quantitative PCR - Keep a detailed laboratory notebook and record all experimental data accurately - Manage daily laboratory operations, including ordering supplies, preparing buffers and reagents, and organizing the lab - Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the Principal Investigator - Follow all safety, environmental, and health regulations and procedures - Participates in laboratory meetings - Good written and verbal communication skills.
