Research Technician III - Stony Brook University : Job Details

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in one of the fields: geophysics, engineering, physics. Experience in geophysical fieldwork in remote regions. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in engineering, physics, geophysics, or system management. Experience in science project management. Experience in students mentoring. Experience in first aid/emergency respondence. Brief Description of Duties:The Research Technician will assist the Principal Investigator, Dr. Weisen Shen, in the Department of Geosciences, performing geophysical fieldwork, instrument development, and other related educational efforts related to the funded project. Particularly, to help plan, prepare, and participate in fieldwork to acquire, process, and store geophysical data in remote regions.
