Research Technician I - University at Buffalo : Job Details

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University at Buffalo is hiring a Research Technician 1. Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, the candidate will: Conduct a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols, which may include performing assays, tissue culture, electrophoresis, PCR, DNA extraction, microscopy, animal work and other laboratory techniques. The technician will also record test results, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and monitor animal colonies. The candidate will provide technical assistance to postdocs/graduate students and other research staff within the group. The candidate will assist in the execution of small animal (mouse) handling and surgeries and participate in executing experiments involving cellular and molecular biology assays. He/she will be involved in the management and care of the animal colony.
