Research Technician B - Albert Einstein College of Medicine : Job Details

The Lab employs gnotobiotic mouse models to study the role of the microbiota in intestinal disorders, such as inflammatory bowel disease, food allergy and cancer. It is essential that the technician has skills and experience in working with germfree mice, including aseptic techniques for mouse handling, maintenance, treatments, import and export of germfree mice from the gnotobiotic facility isolators and monitoring microbiologic status of the mice. The technician will be responsible for culturing self-renewing erythroblasts and differentiate them into cultured red blood cells that will eventually be used for diagnostics and transfusion support.
