Research Support Specialist - Stony Brook University : Job Details

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in a bioscience or related field in hand by hire date. Experience with research. Experience in operating equipment, carrying out test procedures and using special methods for data collection and interpretation. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with microbiology research. Experience with animal handling. Basic cell culture, DNA extraction, and/or PCR skills. Brief Description of Duties: Within defined test or analytical protocols, operate equipment, carry out test procedures, as well as collate and interpret data using special methods in support of a research project or program for Dr. Erich Mackow in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
