Position Summary:

The University at Buffalo's Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences ( is a dynamic and innovative hub of research and academic excellence. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Research Scientist in the Core Instrument Facility. This position requires a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. Previous experience operating and maintaining analytical instruments, preferably in an academic or research setting.

Job Duties Include:

+ Assisting with managing and coordinating the open access LCMS Core Facility within the department

+ Coordinating the open access core instrumentation within the facility

+ General facility upkeep and maintenance and assist with general administrative management of the Core Facility

+ Instruct in portions of undergraduate and graduate courses that involve practical or theoretical use of analytical techniques

Minimum Qualifications:

+ PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field or appropriate combination of education and/or experience
