Research Scientist - Artificial Intelligence - Insight Global : Job Details

Insight Global is looking for an AI Research Scientist to work with one of our largest energy clients. As a Research Scientist, you will design, develop, and apply innovative AI technologies, including large scale time-series and scientific foundation models, to tackle complex challenges in the energy sector. Your work will leverage time-series, tabular, image, text, video, and/or scientific simulation data along with domain knowledge to create single- or multi-modality foundation models to unlock new capabilities in design, discovery, decision support, and autonomy. Your work will span the entire research spectrum, from fundamental theoretical and empirical investigations to prototyping novel solutions in industrial setting. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse application domains, including power generation, renewable energy, decarbonization, electric grids, robotics, and manufacturing, in collaboration with different business units and a broad network of researchers across disciplines. Additionally, you will contribute to cutting-edge research programs with external partners in academia and government, driving the advancement of AI research and pushing the boundaries of human scientific understanding globally. Ph. D. focusing on new advancements in Artificial Intelligence Experience in Foundation Models with one or more modalities: image, time-series, tabular data, video, and/or text. Experience in writing grant proposals and participating in the execution of grant-supported research with government agencies such as DoE, ARPA-E, DoD, and DARPA PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on Artificial Intelligence Demonstrated ability to write Python code and familiarity with AI packages and frameworks like PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc. Deep expertise in one or more of: Multi-Modal Foundation Models, Time-Series Foundation Models, and Scientific Machine Learning with Physics.
