Posting DescriptionRESEARCH SCIENTIST I, Biology-Vos Lab, to join a research team studying how gene expression and genome architecture are coupled. The work involves protein expression, protein purification, molecular cloning, cell culture work, and/or single molecule work structure. The group uses biochemical and structural approaches including X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, and single molecule experiments to analyze how machines involved in gene expression and genome organization interact and regulate each others activity. The successful candidate will lead an individual project and be part of a larger, collaborative team.
Job RequirementsREQUIRED: a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, or related field; at least two years of work experience in a biochemistry/biophysics laboratory; solid interpersonal skills; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PREFERRED: experience with molecular cloning, cell culture, protein purification, and single molecule optical tweezer work.
