The position for Research & Instruction Librarian duties include providing support research by students and faculty, teaching legal research courses, leading outreach to students, and developing community and expertise through national, regional, and subject-specific professional organizations. Duties & Responsibilities. Research and Reference - Active participation in research support for law school faculty and students - Provide legal library reference to faculty, students, staff, the University community, and the public - Support technology-based services for research, law library operations improvement, and content creation, such as digital initiatives and services Teaching Teach first-year and advanced legal research courses Outreach Assist in public engagement to promote faculty scholarship Minimum Qualifications. Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school, and Master's degree in Information or Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution or the equivalent.
