About Basis
Basis is a nonprofit applied AI research organization with two goals:
Understand and build intelligence. This involves establishing the mathematical principles of reasoning, learning, decision-making, understanding, and explaining, and creating software that embodies these principles.Advance society's ability to solve intractable problems. This aims to expand the scale, complexity, and breadth of problems we can solve today and accelerate future problem-solving capabilities. To achieve these, we are building a new technological foundation inspired by human reasoning and a collaborative organization that prioritizes human value.
About the Role
Research engineers support Basis' mission by translating research ideas into correct, robust, and scalable high-quality code. We seek individuals who excel technically, value probing concepts, and are willing to explore radically different ideas.
Basis is collaborative internally and with external partners; we seek individuals who enjoy working with others on large challenges.
