Research Associate - Highmark : Job Details

Performs a variety of routine and/or complex laboratory procedures on clinical research specimens; displays a mastery of laboratory techniques, principles, and instrumentation; correlates data required to provide quality information used by physician in the research and development of clinical processes. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs laboratory testing on specimens according to departmental protocol while complying with hospital and department policies regarding safety and infection control. Displays mastery of laboratory techniques, principles, and instrumentation. (40%)Independently performs all tasks related to the execution of research as defined by the physician/investigator. (20%)Operates, calibrates, checks, and maintains instrumentation. (20%)Participates with the review and monitoring of quality control and quality assurance records.
