Research Associate - NYC Staffing : Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a Research Associate position in the Division of Hand in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Columbia University Medical Center, working directly with Dr. Melvin Rosenwasser and his team. This position reports to the Clinical Research Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Perform telephone and in-person interviews and assessments of study participants.
• Administer standardized interviews of medical and family history, everyday functioning, and recruitment of research participants for various studies.
• Assess capacity to consent and obtain informed consent in this minimal risk study following Institutional Review Board policies and regulations.
• Data management which includes scoring protocols, organizing, filing, data cleaning, presenting data collected, data entry into REDCap.
• Other related duties upon requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Good organizational and time management skills; excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, computer skills, and ability to conduct chart reviews.
• Must be able to learn and operate research project software.
