Research Associate - Epidemiologist - Syracuse University : Job Details

The Epidemiologist will provide data interpretation and logistical support for the successful operations of the New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network. The purpose of this project is to use wastewater surveillance as a tool to estimate community risk and to provide trends of various pathogens. The Epidemiologist will primarily analyze and interpret statistical data, prepare epidemiological reports, and act as a liaison for local health departments and wastewater treatment plants. The Epidemiologist will secondarily be engaged with creative projects, including scientific writing, workshops and trainings, and improving data interpretation. This position will work to promote and protect the health and safety of NYS communities. Education and Experience Masters degree in public health or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and employment experience. Strong quantitative background.
