The Institute for Mind and Biology at the University of Chicago enables research answering fundamental questions about the mind and its dynamic interaction with the biological systems of the body. Our researchers seek to understand the relationships between the mind, the brain and the body in health and in disease. Our institute is unique in bringing together a diverse group of researchers who investigate these questions in different model organisms using state of the art techniques. The Bainbridge Lab research focuses on the cognitive neuroscience of perception and memory, looking at how certain items are intrinsically more memorable than others, and how the brain is sensitive to this information. It also explores the visual content of memories, using drawings and functional MRI to decode memory content.
The job performs routine assignments related to scientific research projects. Ensures compliance of research activities with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Writes articles, reports and manuscripts. Assists in drafting presentations on research findings. The Research Analyst provides basic technical support activities related to scientific research projects.
