Research Accounting Manager

Job Summary/Essential Job Functions

This position serves as Manager on the Financial Management & Compliance (FMC) team. This team provides financial administrative service to the research community for post-award functions and coordinates closely with the DRA Contracts and Proposal teams. Sponsored project and agency fund expenditures reported by this unit totaled $510M in FY2024. The Manager plans, organizes, directs, and certifies the work of FMC Research Accountants to facilitate the effective and efficient management of roughly 2,400 sponsored awards from external sponsors. This position is responsible for on-boarding and training new team members, guiding their development on the department's career path, evaluating performance, and making recommendations for promotion.
