Job Purpose: TheRenewables Project Executive will hold a key leadership position responsible for overseeing a portfolio of renewables energy projects. This role will involve leading a team of project managers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule. This position is instrumental in strategic planning, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and providing expert guidance to project managers. As a pivotal figure within the organization, this position will drive excellence, foster collaboration, and uphold the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This position also involves the management of high-scale renewables projects, adding a level of complexity and responsibility. What You'll Do: Lead and oversee a portfolio of renewables energy projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Provide strategic direction and guidance to project managers to ensure successful project execution. Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, and intervene as necessary to address issues and mitigate risks. Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities to enhance the capabilities of the project management team. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other trade partners. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, manage expectations, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle. Allocate resources effectively across projects, considering project complexity, deadlines, and team capabilities Manage resource constraints and dependencies, identifying opportunities for resource optimization and efficiency improvements. Uphold the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction across all projects. Implement quality assurance processes and performance metrics to measure and improve project outcomes. Manage high-scale renewables projects, overseeing complex project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Assist in the estimation process for renewable energy projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and resource requirements. What You'll Bring: Four-year degree in engineering, construction management or construction-related course of study from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience in the electrical contractor or comparable industry. 5+ years of experience in commercial renewable energy project management, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CEM, LEED) are a plus Ability to develop and implement strategic direction for a portfolio of renewable energy projects, aligning them with organizational goals and long-term objectives. Demonstrates strong leadership skills in guiding and mentoring a team of project managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and government agencies, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed. Makes informed decisions based on a thorough analysis of project data, risks, and opportunities, ensuring optimal outcomes for the organization. Proactively identifies and mitigates risks, addresses issues as they arise, and implements solutions to keep projects on track and within budget. Works effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and partners to achieve project objectives and optimize resources. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations in the renewables sector, ensuring full compliance across all projects. Strong understanding of financial principles related to project estimation, budgeting, and cost management, ensuring accurate cost projections and effective resource utilization. Knowledgeable in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar, and capable of leading initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Proficient in project management software, financial analysis tools, and other relevant technologies to manage project portfolios and optimize performance.
