Renewables Engineer - Xcel Energy : Job Details

Exciting opportunity to be part of Xcel Energys solar and storage-focused reliability engineering team. Get in on the ground floor during the design and construction phase of multiple upcoming utility scale solar farms. Develop and apply in-demand skills to a rapidly growing renewables generation portfolio. Position will work closely with Site Operations and Performance Optimization engineers to achieve top-quartile facility performance. The successful candidate will be expected to be on-site at Rocky Mountain Solar and Battery facility (3625 Doyle Rd, Avondale, CO 81022) five days/week through the end of site commissioning (December 2025). After that, a hybrid work arrangement will be permissible (three days/week on-site and two days/week working remotely). Strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and comfort working with limited management supervision are all critical to the success of this candidate.
