Job Description
As the Rebate Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the identification, interpretation, and application of all available federal, state, and local renewable energy rebate programs. You will ensure the timely and accurate submission of all documentation required to secure rebates for our clean energy projects, thereby maximizing financial returns and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of rebate specialists.
- Set performance goals, provide training, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable rebate and incentive programs related to electric vehicle chargers, solar energy, battery storage, water conservation, and energy efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a centralized database of rebate programs, eligibility criteria, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of all rebate applications and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all submissions meet program requirements and deadlines to avoid delays or denials.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to gather necessary project data and documentation.
- Coordinate with utility companies, government agencies, and third-party program administrators.
- Identify opportunities to streamline rebate application processes and improve team efficiency.
- Implement tools and systems to track application status, deadlines, and financial outcomes.
- Provide regular reports on rebate performance, including success rates, timelines, and financial impact.
- Analyze trends in rebate programs to inform strategic planning and project development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in rebate/incentive program management, preferably in the renewable energy or utilities sector.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and CRM systems.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and translate them into actionable steps.
