REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Must be able to obtain a CDC Public Trust clearance.
• Experience with Business Requirement Capture / Requirements Analysis.
• Working knowledge of clinical reference terminologies and coding schemes (SNOMED, RxNorm, LOINC, ICD9, ICD10, CPT).
• Ability to support SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, UCUM, HL7 value sets and other EHR standards.

Job Description:

Our client seeks a Functional Analyst to support the CDC's PHIN VADS project. Responsibilities include implementing HL7 guides, publishing vocabulary content, and assisting users via a ticketing system.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Identify and maintain standardized medical vocabularies (e.g., LOINC, SNOMED).
• Collaborate with CDC programs to harmonize data elements and standards.
• Develop SOPs and best practices for vocabulary management.
• Coordinate system requirements and testing with technical teams.
• Deploy vocabulary content for CDC programs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of clinical/medical experience.
• Experience in requirements analysis and clinical terminologies.
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• BS/BA degree in a related field.
• Experience with HL7 messaging and ServiceNow ticketing system.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a CDC Public Trust.
