Responsibilities
- Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system to support air traffic controller training
- Respond to student commands and input proper entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions
- Translate displayed information into appropriate air traffic control terminology
- Participate in classroom training and complete required certifications for the role
- Collaborate with a team of multimedia developers, quality assurance personnel, and subject matter experts
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab
- Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65 regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Basic understanding of pilot/controller communications or phraseology
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
